GUEST SPEAKER


CIS brought in a guest speaker to
Ms. Alexander’s classroom to talk to our 8th grade students about College & Career Awareness. Ms. Mott, with Communities In Schools, integrated technology through the lesson by having the students visit several websites to learn more about the careers they are interested in. The following websites were discussed:

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

 

Box Tops for Education is at Smith!

 

The Mighty Smith Buffaloes need your help to reach our goal during the 2013-2014 school year. We are holding a competition between the 4th period classes to see who can collect the most Box Tops. The winning class will be recognized and rewarded!

 

The competition will continue afterwards for the following collection periods:
Dec-Jan, Feb-March, and Apr-May.


Specially marked box tops can be
found on hundreds of products in the grocery store. General Mills, Betty Crocker®, Pillsbury®, Kleenex® and Ziploc® are just a few of the labeled brands.
